Merry Christmas!

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care :)

Merry Christmas to All and to All a goodnight :)

21

On Tuesday I turned 21....
Yep! I'm almost a Christmas Baby.

It was pretty cool to turn 21 but that just means I'm getting older and I don't want to get older. Can I just stay 21 forever?

I've never been much of a cake eater so my mommy made me my favorite... Cherry Cheesecake! Mmmmmm :)
We even added 21 candles!

Eating some yummy pie

Lots of friends and family came to help me celebrate!

Thanks to Everyone for helping me celebrate my last cool birthday! Love you all!

A Yummy Tradition

Every year the girls in my family and Grandma Mary get together to make Christmas cookies. This year, since my Grandma has not fully recovered from having surgery from her colon cancer, me and my sister did most of the work! My mom helped us make the dough because apparently in the 7th grade, she won 1st place at the fair for making this exact recipe!

Me and Ashley ended up eating way to much cookie dough.
It's so yummy though!

Some cookies waiting to be baked

My crazy sister and the gingerbread man...

All the cookies that had to be frosted

Frosting them is my least favorite part and it takes so long! As you can see from my Wordless Wednesday post, my dad wanted to help... that didn't last long :)

My sister is an obsessed blazer fan

New Rule

So this year, my Mom made a new rule.
Everyone has to make something for everyone.
Apparently my dad is excluded from this rule because he doesn't have enough time....
Anyways.... the last few days my mom has pretty much locked herself in the shop because she was working on a top secret Christmas project for me and my sister. I'm quite curious to see what it is but I'm not the type to peek :) I like to be surprised on Christmas. I'm not saying I didn't peek when I was little.... but I've grown up since then :)

Yesterday my sister and I went to Craftware house to get supplies to MAKE presents! I could spend hours in that store!

My sister had some interesting ideas.... a wooden brief case for my dad because he's in the wood business.... (not like he's ever really gonna use it -sigh-). I'm sure she'll find some interesting way to paint/decorate it though. Oh and she found huge wood clothes-pins for my Mom because she thought my mom would use them to seal up the chip bags.

I decided to paint my mom a picture. I've never really painted before. Except when I was little... but that doesn't count. I painted a sunset. I don't think it turned out too bad. I also got a few other things to make and decorate but haven't quite gotten that far yet.

My parents don't read my blog because they're a little computer illiterate. So shhhhhh! Please keep the secret!

Home Sweet Home

I flew home Sunday night, and the last couple days I've just been sleeping in and bumming around the house. I'll be home for the next three weeks! I've got a big list of things to do so I'm sure you'll be hearing about them throughout the next few weeks :)

I missed my bed. Doesn't it look so comfy!
