Disneyland!

To complete our Southern California trip we went to Disneyland and California Adventure! On Sunday we woke up early so we could spend the whole day at Disneyland! Everything was decorated so pretty for Christmas! The first thing you see when you walk in is this huge tree with a million decorations on it!

It looks even prettier at night!

It was a good thing we got there early because the lines were not very long. I think my favorite ride at Disneyland is Indian Jones because you actually feel like your in the car and I always duck when the huge rock ball comes towards the car. My favorite ride at California Adventure is the Tower of Terror Hotel. I felt airborne almost the whole ride and it just gets your heart jumping because you never know how far or when your going to drop. It's hard to see... but in this picture, my face shows how awesome this ride really is (middle row on the left).

Trevor doesn't look so thrilled in all these pictures but contrary to what the pictures say... he did have a good time :). He refused to go on the it's a small world ride so the girls went instead and Trevor ventured off to find a different ride. Although he wasn't actually in the ride... we found a Trevor replica lol

As the sun started going down we started dragging our feet a little more. Disneyland really wore us out. We finished a few last rides, got some souvenirs, and headed home. We left earlier than planned but that was all alright with us because we had a long drive back home that night. This is my 3rd time going to Disneyland and we had a lot of fun. Hopefully in the near future I can take my sister because the last time she went, she was 3 and she doesn't remember it anymore.

The start of Thanksgiving break :)

I started the Thanksgiving break out by heading down to Southern California with Trevor and Allie. The drive was long and there was lots of traffic, but I guess that is to be expected when you live in California.

On Saturday Me and Allie went and hung out with my roommate Amanda and Trevor hung out with his brother Brandon and did boy stuff.

We had a delicious lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and for desert.... Yummy Cheesecake! (wish I had taken a picture of it). After a late lunch we headed over to Huntington beach and walked out on the Pier. I had never been to a pier like this and it felt and looked just like in the movies!

It was really quite pretty with the sunset going down. To end the wonderful day we went and saw the movie New Moon! Yay!

We also encountered a singing beach Santa Clause who let us take some pictures with him and gave us candy canes :).

Next post.... a fun Sunday at.... :)

A few weeks ago my Grandma Mary was diagnosed with colon caner. Today she is having surgery to remove the tumor. She went in for surgery at 6 am and is suppose to get out around 1 pm. Please Keep her in your prayers.

It's Getting Hot in here.... Not!

Last weekend when I went home, I found this taped to the temperature gage (or whatever its called).

My dad's body temperature is on a totally different level from the women in our house. He's always hot when we're freezing.

So my sister took action and duck taped this thing shut so my dad could no longer turn down the heat or even turn it off.

My SURPRIZE visit home!

This past weekend, as you know, was my sisters 18th Birthday. Only a few people knew that Trevor and I were coming home to surprise her!

Our flight got in late Friday night and a few of my moms friends picked us up from the airport. When we got to my house we snuck out of the car and my sister just happened to peak out the window. I freaked out because I thought she had saw us but I guess she was just looking to see if it was raining. It was raining by the way.

Anyways.... we snuck around into the garage waiting for the signal that it was clear to come inside. After the signal, my mom snuck me into the laundry room and I scrunched myself into a box. Then my mom duck taped me into the box and wrapped me up like a present. It was super hot in the box and a little uncomfortable. My mom then tried to scoot the box into the kitchen... not the greatest idea. She was having trouble pushing me... so she tipped the box over. I'm inside the box trying not to laugh and I hear my sister come down the stairs. She comes over to the box, and according to her almost kicks it (thank goodness she didn't!). She's thinking this whole thing is a little weird because she's opening a huge present the night before her birthday and my dad is videoing her, she starts to unwrap me and then.... SURPRISE! I pop out of the box and she's totally happy and surprised and she starts crying and everyone is happy!

We got the whole thing on video but I'm not sure how to get it on my computer yet so maybe over Thanksgiving break I'll figure that out.

Ohhh... and then after about 5 minutes I tell Ashley to come down to the basement with me to get a soda and she's all freaked out because she thinks something is going to scare her again.... She walks down there and... BOOO Trevor scares her! I think she'd had enough scaring for the night. I'm really glad I got to come home for my sisters birthday though!

Here are a few pictures that we took Saturday at church and later in the afternoon. I'll post pictures from the actual party later.

Happy Birthday Ashley

My little sister turns 18 today! I guess that means she's not so little anymore.... and the fact that she's physically taller than me. The sad part about going away to college is that I only get to see her on holidays and during the summer now :(.
I miss hanging out with my sister.
I miss getting coffee together and going to Borders.
I miss dancing in the car.
I miss making silly videos.
I miss ganging up together on my dad.
I miss stealing her clothes... shhhh
I miss arguing.
I miss being hyper together.
My sister, Ashley, is the most random awesome girl you'll ever meet. Happy Birthday Ashberry!

[These are a few of her senior pictures taken by Eric John, that I thought you might enjoy]
