Happy Birthday Mommy!

My mommy had a birthday yesterday!

I didn't get to see her though because we live in different states :(

She is coming in two weeks to celebrate my sisters birthday, or both of their birthdays :)

Yesterday Ashley and I called her and sang her Happy Birthday.

I also sent her a homemade card.

I miss you mommy! Only 11 more days till we're all together again!

Making the news....

My dad made the news again! But this time its nothing bad (referring to a couple months ago when his lumber yard was on fire).

The Statesman Journal interviewed my dad, the article is actually quite long but I thought it was all very interesting! Go check it out at....

Black & White Wednesday

While we were in San Francisco last weekend I happened to look up while we were in Union Square and saw this cool looking skyscraper.

I'm not sure which one I like yet....

Which one do you like?

To see more black & white photos go to Lisa's blog, The Long Road to China. Lisa is currently in China right now and just met her adorable daughter Reagan, so exciting!

Pierced.

My sister walks into my room Saturday morning wearing shorts and a tank top. Amanda and I look at her and just start laughing. We then explained to her that San Francisco is not really a warm place. In fact I've never been to San Francisco when its warm. So she quick ran back upstairs to her room and put on a more San Francisco adequate outfit :)

Dressed in our scarves, sweaters and boots we headed towards the city. On our way there we drove over the golden gate bridge for my sisters sake. You see, this was pretty much her first trip to San Francisco so we wanted it to be a good experience for her :)

Our first stop was....
 (Ashley's nickname is Ashberry)

Full of hippies and bums, we stopped here to mark something off my bucket list...
I got 2 new piercings in my ear, aka second holes. Amanda also got another piercing, the ring in her cartilage. I don't really like the hoops they put in my ears but they didn't have any studs. So I will be stuck with the little hoops for the next 6 weeks until I can change them.

Our next stop was China Town, also an item on my bucket list. When we arrived in China town, we looked around and didn't really see anything to do or look at so we pretty much just drove through China town and part of Italy town (not sure how you say it lol). I was greatly disappointed with China Town. I've decided that I'll move this item of my bucket list to a long term bucket list and change it as Visit China! Because I'd much rather see the real thing :)

After our quick drive-by of China town we headed to Union square where we ate at the Cheesecake factory and shopped around a little. I always love eating at the cheesecake factory because while your waiting to be seated you can go outside and look at the city. The cheesecake factory is located on the top floor of Macy's and the view is pretty cool.

Hope you had a good weekend too!

Ducks Unlimited 2010

Every year in October I go to Eastern Oregon to hunt ducks, quail, and have a good time!

-warning: if you don't like to see dead animals don't look at the pictures at the bottom of the post-

On our way there we found this cute cowboy in a parking lot and thought we'd take him along for the ride :)

This year the weather was great! It is usually very cold, but this year it was all sun and just a little bit of rain.

We got to act all red neck.

Shootin' Guns and getting trucks stuck...

We got to go exploring and found an old homestead.

We got to kill a few things....

The best part about the weekend was being able to see my parents again!

The worst part.... the long drive back to school :(

Ladies Night

Today I had my first finance test and a psychology quiz.

The girls decided it was time for a Ladies Night!

We started out the night by going to an Italian restaurant in Calistoga. Yum!

Then we headed back to Allie's house for some toe & finger nail painting and some TV shows!

Allie and Kaitlin have an amazing nail polish collection

Guess how many different colors there were to choose from???

Bodega Bay

Last weekend the business club had a camp-out at Bodega Bay. There were probably 40-50 people there. It was fun but also stressful. Being an officer I had to help get all the food, set up tents, prepare food, and a lot of other responsibilities all weekend. The weather was ok... the sun came out for a little while Saturday afternoon. It was Northern California beach weather :)

Here are some of the highlights of the camping trip in bullet form :)
  • Roasted Marshmellows
  • Tree Climbing
  • Ashley got chased by a skunk
  • Made new friends
  • Got to go camping!
And now for lots and lots of pictures!
