Favorite Photo Friday "Honeymoon"

For our honeymoon, Trevor and I decided to drive along the coast on the 101 back to California.

We didn't have many plans other than stopping at the redwood forest.

It was actually really nice and relaxing. If we saw something interesting we would stop. We stopped a lot along the ocean just admiring the view. That part of the coast is really unique because there are lots of rocks jutting up from the ocean.

Our first stop was Gold Beach, on the edge of the Oregon border.
We went to a few of the tourist sites in town, ate some really yummy food, and then headed to the Redwood Forest which was a few hours away.

I got to visit the Redwood Forest last summer too. I don't think I'll ever get tired of seeing all the tall beautiful trees. I think my favorite part is the way the light comes through the branches.

Because it was so warm inland, the beach was really foggy. I might be strange, but I really like the fog.
The cool weather was a nice change too. I think I'm ready for fall already :)

In Fort Bragg, we went exploring and found an old train yard.

Overall, it was a really relaxing trip. It was fun to go exploring and not have to be anywhere at a certain time. We plan on going on a cruise for our real honeymoon sometime this winter.

Favorite Photo Friday- "Molalla, Oregon"

So glad its Friday!

I was also super excited when I opened my email and there were a few wedding pictures from my photographer! I will have to wait at least a month to see the rest but I'm so glad she shared a few with me!

Favorite Photo Friday "Montana"

Montana is probably one of my favorite places ever.
The sky is really so much bigger there. I guess that's why they call it big sky country.

Almost every summer when I was little we would go there to visit family.
So many amazing memories.

Last weekend Trevor and I flew to Montana for a family reunion.

I loved showing him all the small towns and telling him stories of our summers spent there.

One day we all went exploring on bikes.
Fields of wild flowers and rolling hills for miles.

Only 22 more days till we are married!

The next family reunion isn't for 5 years, I'm hoping that one day we have the chance to go back soon.
I'll miss that beautiful big sky country.

Favorite Photo Friday "50 more days!"

These pictures are from Trevors Tool party a few months ago.

Shows how far behind in blogging I am...

Time has been going by so fast these past couple months, only 50 more days till I marry my best friend!
I've always wanted to have a big family. I remember when I was little I would always ask my mom for a baby sister or brother.

My wish is about to come true!
Although they have always felt like family, in 50 days it will be official. I will have 4 more little sisters, 2 little brothers, and 1 older brother!  Plus 1 sister-in-law!

Favorite Photo Friday

We drove to Oregon to visit my family this weekend. A long drive but totally worth it. We have been busy finishing wedding details and enjoying family time.

Ruby got to meet her Aunt Ashley for the first time today!

Favorite Photo Friday

Ruby got to go on her first camping trip last weekend!

She was not happy with us that first day....

I made her a nice little bed in the back seat, I even layed down her blankie.
But she didn't want to sit in it, she had to explore everything and she really wanted to be up front with Trevor and I.
To make matters worse, it was also her first time in snow.

(She looks so sad!)

The second and third day of the trip went much better for Ruby. The snow melted, she started exploring, and showed her tough side.
Everytime someone would walk past our campsite she would stand up real tall and start barking. She thinks she is one tough dog :)

Favorite Photo Friday

So glad it's finally Friday.
This week was long and full of sneezing and coughing. Yuck.

Just wanted to share a few more pictures from our Christmas tree hunting expedition.
I like the word expedition.
Makes it sound so much more adventurous and exciting ;)

All the pictures below are of my beautiful sister Ashley.
Another cool fact... I took them all in manual.
Edited in Picnik.

I'm having a hard time deciding which one I like better...
Color or Black and White?
I'd love your opinion and comments!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Favorite Photo Friday

The area where we go hunting in Eastern Oregon is beautiful. I love the open dessert and mountains in the back ground. I love finding old homesteads and exploring. Sometimes I wish I had been born 150 years ago so I could have been a pioneer :) The only bad part about that is that I wouldn't have had a camera to capture all the beautiful nature God created for us.

This is the Harris Schoolhouse, established in 1890 in the Summer Lake area. The school was used till 1919 and then reopened in 1926 until a bus was purchased to transfer kids to a bigger school in a nearby town.

If you look in through the broken windows you can still see all the old desks.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Favorite Photo Friday

In the past I have participated in Black & White Wednesday over at The Long Road to China, but now they are changing things up over there and she is now hosting Favorite Photo Friday.

I think change is good :)

Lately I haven't felt motivated to blog at all... which explains my lack blogging.

I thought I'd make an appearance though and share a favorite photo.

My favorite thing about this photo is the bees!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
